Title: Boyz Theme
Post by: melb_angel19 on August 13, 2004, 12:19:07 AM
My Gallery: http://www.poohey.com/gallery/

I'm using the theme called "Boyz" and it displays correctly in Internet Explorer but not in Opera. It is missing half of the header in Opera. There must be a way to modify the theme to get it to work in Opera. All of the other themes work in Opera.

This is how IE displays it (header displays right across the screen):

This is how Opera displays the header (notice the big chunk missing):

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm sure it's actually a HTML standards issue.  Opera, Mozilla, Firefox, and other browsers "play by the rules" and follow the HTML standards put forth by the W3C.  Microsoft has continually thumbed its nose at the rules and decides which to follow and which not to follow.  Because of this, obviously wrong HTML and CSS displays ok in IE but not in other browsers.

Your best bet is to attempt to validate the HTML and see what errors come up.  Then it's a matter of finding the offending code in the theme and fixing it.  There's a link to the CSS and HTML validators at the bottom of each page on this forum.

The boyz theme is a user contribution that goes unsupported.
