but is there any way to retain the information from before? I totally understand having to remake all the accounts, its just the dates and everything that worries me. Will I have to build the gallery all over again so that it will fit with a BBS? Is it really worth it? I was thinking that if worse comes to worse, I could just have the database seperate from the BBS and the gallery so that I wont lose any information. If you know of a way to retain anything, please let me know.
Thanks!
The gallery info is not lost. Bridging just removes the usermanagement from coppermine, and uses the bbs one instead.
All current info is kept, just not used (or updated) as long as the bridge remains.
The albums and pics info is untouched, and still used. The only problems come when you already have users with personnal albums before you bridge. As their user id will be different, the ownership of these albums will be mucked up unless you modify the database.

I suggest that you install a standalone CPG.
