Why not show the captions and some of the comments during a slideshow?  Many of our friends seem to like the slideshow - and they're not getting to see the comments & captions.

It has been asked before that the filename/caption be displayed, but I think comments as well would be both hard to implement, and difficult to read in the few seconds.

You can stop the slideshow on any pic, and see all the details, then restart the slideshow.

This does nearly the same but looks nicer than the textarea solution ;)
