Ok this may be an easy one. I downloaded coppermine, uploaded it to the server and everything went smoothly. I'm having trouble with setting up with loggin. What is My SQL? I know it means Structured Query Language, but I don't know what that is exactly, lol. Where do I get the info from so I can fill in the installation form and get started?
MySQL Host?
MySQL Usersame?
Where can I find what my SQL host, username and password is?
You will have to ask your webhost. There is webspace that comes with mySQL, and there is webspace that comes without it. If you don't know what it is, you probably have webspace without mySQL (usually, mySQL-empowered webspace is more expensive, your webhost would have told you if you had it). You can not make up the mySQL data that is needed to install coppermine, you just have to know it. If you don't have mySQL, you don't have the minimum requirements to run coppermine, sorry.

I was a bit like you boober, Ibut I found I had Coppermine (and 50 other scripts) all ready to install, suplied with my webspace.
I was tinkering around in my cPanel trying to get my directory uploaded, and I found all this incredible "stuff"... mySQL, all sorts of php scripts, Coppermine 1.3.2 and a few other graphic's scripts, CMS's, bulletin boards, forums...
I feel like a kid in a candy shop, with no money... coz I don't have a clue how to use any of it!
Russell, is your posting meant to be a question or just a remark?
Joachim
I'm sorry, it was a remark, but I do have a question now. I thought I was getting a photo gallery with "photo's" in it, but it looks like it is an empty photo gallery... or am I missing something here?
I don't have a camera. Actually I do have an old Ricoh I bought about 3o years ago, but it's not digital... obviously >:(
erm, your question is not related, you had better start a new thread in the future...
Coppermine doesn't contain any pics out-of-the-box, it's a software that is suppossed to manage pics you upload, not a picture collection. If you don't have pics to display on your coppermine page, you probably have no use for Coppermine at all.
