my site keeps asking for login

Hi,
My coppermine is installed and works fine but evry time i visit it i get a windows authentication form up eventough i use Anonymous in IIS6 properties. The problem started whn i changed in php.ini so i activated the line cgi.force_redirect = 0. what should i do ?

well you might have missed something in the email because it's a WINDOWS AUTHENTICATION login i get and that is probably thrown by the server because PHP is not properly configured i guess. I don't think it's an issue with Coppermine but i thought maybe someone had the same problem before. The gallery works fine as far as i use my windows domain username and password. If you have any suggestion please let me know.

I have understood perfectly well (although it was not an email, but a posting I replied to). However, if you're looking for help, you should do as requested and post a link. If you think this is not related to coppermine at all (probably isn't, as you already stated), you should look for help somewhere else, as this site is dedicated to coppermine, not general server setup.

If you push cancel it would show a ACL error.

and yes i already have tried to find help other places too but was unable so i just thought maybe somebody had the same problem when they installed coppermine gallery. everybody installing Coppermine is running thru configuring php.ini i guess so maybe i did something wrong in it. It's a security issue i think.

I have some more information if that might help :

My site is now situated at : http://larisa.marinescu.dk (windows authentication required)

I have to galleries. They are both situated at the same IIS6 server. One of them works fine and the other one asks for windows authentication.

My second site is situated at : http://home.marinescu.dk (works fine without authentication)

I have made a test file for http://larisa.marinescu.dk and the file is situated at http://larisa.marinescu.dk/test.php which shows phpinfo and this file works fine without asking for windows authentication.

I wouldn't say everyone who installs Coppermine "runs" through php.ini.  Hosted servers tend to be set up and configured properly long before Coppermine is uploaded.  Home servers tend to have the most problems due to improper setup and configuration.

Nope, haven't heard of this problem before.  Most IIS/Coppermine questions are about sessions and cookies and related items.

A quick search of Google for "Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource." turned up a number of helpful links, like issues with proxy rewriting.  Have you tried those resources yet?  Hopefully you can get some sort of IIS specific help that way.
