Hi!

I cant get the batch to work, I upload the files, it says ok, but when I go to check the pictures/thumbnails out all I get is the name of the image! like hey.jpg or something, its only text. No image! Why?

Thanks!

Please read added replys for more info!!

post a screenshot. Enable debug mode in coppermine config to see more details. Post actual error messages if you get any. Post information on the image resizing methid you're using. Post info where you uploaded to. Post a link to your site.
Generally speaking: it's better to provide more information, can't help you if you only post "something doesn't work".

The adress is www.kjuze.tk under Sofia&Joakim in the album "Sofias födelsedag".

I have win2k apache 2 and php 4.3.9 and mysql 4.1. ImageMagick-6.1.1-Q16

There are no error messages, it just shows the text "blablaa.jpg" where the image/thumb should be.

Here is a screenshot how it looks: http://hem2.passagen.se/soder/x.jpg

After I seen the list of files with all blue ok buttons is there anything more that should appear? Because after that page nothing else happends! Or am I done when I see all the blue ok buttons?

Thanks!

Could the problem be that I used another theme then default? Cause I tried to change back to classic and that time it worked.

Joachim Müller

what theme were you using? You have to understand that you can only use themes that have been made for a particular version, e.g. cpg1.3.x themes for cpg1.3.2

Joachim

I was using hardwired.
But that was not the problem. Got it again with classic theme!

the file http://hem2.passagen.se/soder/x.jpg isn't there (404 error). Attach the screenshot to your posting.

It is. Copy the link and paste it in your web browser.

That link doesn't work.

YES IT DOES!

COPY THE ADRESS, PASTE IT IN A WEB BROWSER PRESS ENTER!

You cant just click on it.

Casper

STOP SHOUTING.

Why should we have to do that.  Why can we not just click on the link, that should work.  That is what we have clickable links for.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

kjuze

Well I dont know why it doesnt work. Maybe its the webhost or maybe its this forum. Im just saying how you can use get file!

If you've disabled hotlinking on your site this can happen.  If you attach a screenshot to your post and it doesn't display, that will tell you if something isn't set up quite right.  I tried attaching your screenshot and got this error:

Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server adminsitrator for more information.

Ok now?

Joachim Müller

no, not OK, you still have hotlink protection enabled. Why do you make it so hard for supporters, do we have to beg to help you? I have attached you screenshot to my posting now (after going through all the fuzz with hotlink protection and resizing it). It doesn't actually show any errors, but a result that can be caused by a million things. Obviously you were able to solve this issue on your own, as the broken pics are not in your coppermine db any more. My guess is the pics just were to large, or your server is set up incorrectly (as you have an IP-address in the browser's address bar I again guess you're self-hosted, so this is probably a case of improper server setup).

[:| If you actually want help, I guess you should start this thread over, by replying to this thread with your question once more, with screenshots that actually illustrate your problem attached to the posting, and every piece of information you can come up with (server OS, server version, method to resize images etc pp).

I cant congifure the server that the screenshot is on because its not mine, i only have an account on it. The server has like 10000 users so I dont think what I say mathers for the server admin.
I dont think I set the server up wrong as everything else is working but the batch adding!

I still have the problem, I just removed that album with those pictures in it. I Already wrote what version of windows etc etc I have if you read above.

So the problem remains!

My question IS: Why does it show the name of the file instead of showing the image?
