Hi guys,
I just integrated cpg with phpBB and cannot upload. I registered as another member to test it out. I click on the upload link, it takes me to the page to upload the file in which it says it has been uploaded:
Quoteuploads were successful.

Please click 'Continue' to add the files to albums.

Then Im meant to place the image into the album. When this page opens the image preview does not load, then when you do try and put it into the category and press "Continue" it hits you with this:

QuoteThe previous file could not be placed.

You have successfully placed all the files.

Anybody got any ideas?

Ive read the topic which I found whilst searching but the CHMOD did not solve this.

there are lots of threads that deal with this, please search once more...

Thanks for your reply,
I really couldn't find the specific thing that would help me, I'm sorry to be a pain but is there anychance you could post a quote on here to fix it?  :-[

Were you able to upload before bridging with phpBB?  Did you verify all Coppermine functions were working prior to bridging?  Do you have GD1, GD2, or ImageMagick available for image manipulation?  If you are currently using ImageMagick, switch to GD1 or GD2.

Hi,
I must have forgotten to test the uploading of files before bridging them. :-[

I just switched to GD 2 and now when i attempt to upload a file (tried 5 times) It says:

500 Internal Server Error

Did you follow the installation instructions and CHMOD the applicable directories?  Are you running your own server, and if so is it properly configured?

Create a test user with normal privileges and post the username/password and link to your Coppermine gallery.

Hello,
I just tried uploading a resized image which was much smaller in size and it uploaded fine. However it still isnt uploading fullsize images of filesize 800Kb.

When I click on the Register link on the gallery it refers me to the forum register page, is this supposed to happen?

A quick question (two actually:P)
On the older version of CPG I have on my personal site when you upload images they are placed in your directory (eg albums/userpics/001) whereas I cant see where they are put with this version...are they put in the directory "albums/edit"?

Another question....when I am in admin mode and I click on the "users" link it refers me to the forum??? Is that supposed to happen?

Casper

Lots of unrelated questions.  Please 1 question per thread from now on.

The filesize is less important than the pixel size when uploading, particularly where the memor allowance for the server is low.  This has been discussed in detail before.

When you are bridged, as you obviously are, the gallery uses the forums user management, so yes, both redirects you ask about are supposed to happen.

The pics, when uploaded by html, are still put in the albums/userpics/00###, unless your server is running silly safe mode, when they go directly into the albums/userpics folder.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

1) we have a "one question per thread" policy
2)
QuoteWhen I click on the Register link on the gallery it refers me to the forum register page, is this supposed to happen?
Yes, of course - that's what integration is about: you use the login of your bbs to authentificate your coppermine users
3) I tried uploading a pic with 930 KB, which resulted in an internal server error
