How to use gifs after I installed the forum

It asked me to install/upload a program that I don't remember the name of right now. (it was like imagik or something so I can't search it out). I want to install it now but I don't know how since the last time it asked me was at the install thing.

You/Your host need to install ImageMagick on the server (if it isn't there already) if you wish to use that option. Then change the method in config.

So once my host installs Imagemagik on the server, can I put up gifs or do I have to do some more stuff. (edit code or something)

You should then be good to go...
But you need to enter the "path" to ImageMagick into the appropriate field in the Config page in CPG (your host should tell you the correct path details).

but you have to understand that there's only limited support for animated gifs though (non-animated gifs will be fine).
