Hi,

I try to use "batch add" to feed the albums.

I created a directoty called 'test' in my '/albums' directory.
I uploaded a file called 'luca_001' in 'test'.

Then, I go to 'ftp =>' on my web interface and choose the 'test' directory.
I can see my file but no thumbnail. Only the 'broken image symbol'. If I click the symbol, a window opens whith my picture.
I choose an album (called 'test' too), check the image then click on the 'Insert' button

The next page show 4 columns :

Directory = test/
Image = luca_001
Album = test
Result = red 'PB' symbol

I tried the debug mode but I haven't seen any error msg

The file permissions should be ok but the problem is I can't change them by ftp because free.fr doen't allow this

The rights are actually :
directory 'test' : 700 (same as /albums/userpics directory)
file 'luca_001.jpg' : 644 (rw r r)

All files and directories are owend by the same user

If I upload pics 1 by 1 using the web interface, it works. As I have  more than 300pics tu upload, the web interface can't be used

Here are some informations found in the debug.

coppermine can be run on free.fr - you can set CHMOD permissions using an interface they have afaik if they don't allow you to change permissions using your ftp app.
Try changing the permissions; if this doesn't help, set debug_mode to "yes:everyone" in coppermine config, notices display to "no", then go to "groups" and set "upload method" to "Single file uploads only" for all relevant groups and post a test user account with upload prpivileges, so we can check the details.

Hi,

Here is what I found on their site :
"Toute gestion des droits est désactivée chez Free. Tous les fichiers présents ont les droits suffisants."
which means
"Rights management are disabled at free. All files have sufficient rights"

I'll try to find the interface you talked about. I found a script which created a dir 'test2' whith rights 755. but it doesn't work either.

I created a user/pass : test/test whith upload permissions and upload method set to 'Single file uploads only". uploading pictures using the web interface works. It's juste the 'batch add' wihth ftp that doesn't work.

Hope you can help.

Thanks in advance

OK, I should have read your initial posting more carefully: you have a file http://samuel.benard.free.fr/albums/test/luca_001 on your server, which doesn't have an extension. Upload a known-good file with a proper extension that coppermine (or rather: the image library used on your server, usually GD) can handle, e.g. ".jpg" and you should be fine. A file without an extension can not be used!

Joachim

P.S. Of course you would have had to switch admin approval off if you wanted me to test drive the http upload ::)

Hi,

Well, That's was so big that I couldn't see it... I feel so stupid... :)

However, it works better now that files have an extension.

Many thanks for your help.
