Hi!

Hi! I integrated CPG1.3 with PHPBB2 and it almost seems to work at first sight. I do habe some problems though. Registered PHPBB2 users can't create or upload their own user gallery! Creation of user galleries is allowed of course! There are no 3 "admin buttons" for users to create their album. It might be a more fundamental problem as I found out that registered, logged in users are treated as Guests and not Members (their rights change when I change Guest-rights!). But even when I create a new group in PHPBB2 and add users to this group, set permissions accordingly in CPG, permissions don't seem to have effect on these users! CPG still treats them as Guest-users! Admin mode works OK for admins, so interaction with PHPB2 seems ok. Where's the problem? Is it a cookie or a groups or some other problems? Using PHPBB2.0.13 by the way!

Thanks
Steve

post a link to your site, a non-admin test user account and a screenshot of coppermine's group panel (click on "additional options" when composing your message to attach the screenshot).

Hi There!

I almost posted the same problem, but when I went and created the test account for CPG team to use, I tested it to make sure it worked, and behold, the buttons appeared for the test user to create albums.

So... my findings. You *cannot* create user albums as an admin. Even when you switch admin into "user mode", it still truly is not "user mode" in the sense that you don't get the create user album options.

Just in case you havn't already, create yourself a basic user. You know, the kind with username "test", the kind you delete later..

log in as test. The buttons should appear now, because your in as an ordinary user. You cant see get them to appear when your logged in as admin, switched into guest mode.

Anyhow. Hope that solves your problem, else Ive just announced to the world that I hadn't looked past my own nose ;p

Thanks for your feedback, your completely right: the user mode/admin mode toggle will not log you in as a user, but only hide the admin menu from view, that's all. If you want to see what a user can see, do as anakaine suggested.
