Here is the email support for my host sent me:

Hi,
The "anonymous user"(which is when anybody by help of an upload script upload files onto your site without using the traditional ftp user account) is usually set to 50MB of this disk space. Since you went over those 50MB of space we have increase your anonymous user quota to 100MB now. Your web space is now set to 950MB instead of 1GB

Does this mean I can only have 100 Megs of media in a Coppermine Gallery?
What gives here? Why can't everything just go to the 1 Gig of space I rent from them?
Is there any way to fix or get around this issue?

thanks in advance,

Ed

You'll have to work that out with your host.  If that's how they handle http uploads, then you have to play by their rules.  Just ask them to increase it to a larger number, like 500 mb, which still gives you 500 mb to upload via FTP.

I haven't seen anything like this before - my host doesn't split hairs over how things are uploaded.  Cest la vie.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.
