Turn off comments on the Thumbnail page

Some of the comments are somewhat long to be able to explain what is happening in a picture.  This makes the thumbnail page awkward looking when one of the pics has a long comment.  All the pictures get out of alignment. 

I know I can limit the size of the comment but this would not help because some pictures really do need a longer comment.  I would prefer to turn comments off on the thumbnail page, and then when the picture is clicked into then the comments are viewed.  Is this possible?

Do you mean title's and not comments? Or maybe description/caption? I know you can turn off the captions in the config settings. Does that do what you want?

Click on the first guitar thumnail under "model 1".  The thumnail page comes up, and you see all the text from the comments.  The comments are very long and cause separations and a general disorganized look.

If the comments could be turned off only at this level.  Another option would be that when the text gets a to a certain length, then it trails off . . .   When you click on the picture and see it enlarged then you get the full comment.  Well, not that, this would be some sort of mod that I don't want.  Just to know if comments can be controlled at that thumbnail view level.

Yeah log in as admin and turn off captions. This will get rid of your problem.
