I don´t know if this is the right part of the message board to ask

My Question is if it is prohibited (by the license of coppermine -  not by country specific laws) to host "adult-content" (non commercial und access controlled) using coppermine gallery (or is there a limit by liscense / coppermine according to the hosted content) ? I wasn´t able to find a part in the liscence / docs which sounds like you´re not allowed to do this ... but a friend of mine told me so -  just want to check if he´s right or wrong about this before starting a website wich may be violates your liscense

thanks & best regards

The license Coppermine is released under is in the COPYING file.  We don't have any say in what a person uses Coppermine for, and we aren't held liable in any legal action taken against that person.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

Actually, this is an English project, or was that what you meant. ;)

Actually, it's an international project with members from all over the globe, with the project language being English  ;).

To back up what was said before: use coppermine to display whatever sort of pics you could think of (including porn). There's nothing in the license that says you mustn't. If you're looking for support here on this board though with a specific coppermine issue, you're often asked to provide a link to your coppermine site. If your site contains nudity or similar content that some may find offending, you're suggested to post a notice together with the link that says in bold "link not worksafe" or similar.
