I quite fancy trying out the new 1.4.x beta, and don't mind if it crashes etc. BUT first I'd like to be able to backup my existing data.

So my question is : Is there a simple way to create a backup of my Coppermine website (php/html files plus database contents) ?

If the answer is YES, then I'd be grateful if someone could point me to the instructions/HowTo/FAQ/Fine Manual...

Thanks.

Your webhost would be the best place to ask about backup tools. They might have the actual tool... or you could use phpmyadmin to export the data.

Thanks for the rapid response ! Looks like I should hav ejust RTFM  ;D

I think my webhoster has some kind of webadmin interface for the database. I'll check with him and try out a backup.

Now how do I mark this question as "SOLVED" ...?

Just by replying to it, saying it is solved for you. A moderator then tags the thread accordingly, regular users can't tag threads on this board. Thanks for returning and posting this, I wish all users would.
