I know a great many users of threads would be thrilled to have this as an alternative.

I assume this is a bulletin board?  If so, a bridge might be built for it, but that would be left to a user of UBB. The easiest way to build a bridge is to look for an existing bridge that has a database structure similar to UBB and then alter the bridge.

Yup it's a BB. I have it about 60% working now, as far as pulling the css , header and footer, and login from threads now. Just cannot figure where to add the    $html -> send_footer(); tag to pull in the footer. Any ideas? I'm working in init.inc.php
