Errors: config.inc.php file and Image Magick

Hello everyone; I hope I'm writting in the right place..

I've had some problems with cpg 1.3 installation:

-The installer can not find the 'c:/Documents and Settings/GESTORE/Desktop/imagemagick/' directory you have specified for ImageMagick or it does not have permission to access it. Check that your typing is correct and that you have access to the specified directory.

-Unable to write config file 'include/config.inc.php'

I've read in other topics that cpg can't writhe config file because I must set chmod with 777, but I can't; my ftp program gets error; How can I do? And why it doesn't find Image Magick?

Imagemagick must be installed on the server by the server admin, having it on your own computer is useless. What error do you get from your FTP client ? If it is a windows server then you need to set permissions in a different way.

Yes, I am on a Windows server so the ftp program doesn't let me set the chmod, and I don't know how I can do it.
But, Must I upload image magick folders on the site?? sorry, but I don't really know what I must do..

Whoever runs your server should provide you with a way to set permissions, and the path to imagemagick if it is installed.  If it is not installed then you can try GD2. You need to ask your host for this information.

I've asked; They have told me I have to use some folders already setted with 777 chmod; so I've to insert include and albums folders into these ones, isn't it? but, Must I edit the script?? How can cpg find include and albums folders into another folders? And include and albums folders have to be setted with 777 chmod, isn't it? Thank you very much!

Please clarify: your webhost told you to use folders already 777?  Your Windows host, who should know that Unix CHMOD commands don't work on Windows servers?

Your host should give you a way to set permissions on your files and folders.  If they don't, or they won't change them for you, you need to find another host.

Yes; It's impossible change chmod on that windows server; so I can't use cpg?

Please understand: CHMOD is not a command that Windows uses.  You can change permissions on a Windows server, but you have to ask your host how to do it.  They usually provide you some sort of interface so you can make directories writable.  If they don't provide you with any way to change permissions, you should find a better host, preferably one who uses Linux and Apache instead of Windows and IIS.
