I dont know if this is in the basic setting or wether i would need a hack for it.

I want images uploaded to be auomtically named with there filename, im uplaoding 100's of files and so i dont want to name then. i want the name to appear under each thumbnail, and under the image once its been clicked.

is this possible?

thanks in advance

why don't you batch-rename the files before uploading them in first place?

tjpeople

how do you do that? where is the option?

i want my images named something like 'event 1' 'event 2' etc

thanks

like I said: rename your files before you upload them. There are loads of apps that can do that, I recommend 1-4a rename or Irfan View. As renaming before upload happens before Coppermine is involved, there's no control in Coppermine's user interface.

I think you missunderstnad me.

I dont want to rename the 'file name' i want to have the 'title' feild filled in automticall, becuase at the moment unless i imput it my self, both wen a thumb nail and a enalrged image, there is no title - i would be happy with the 'file name' to be the 'title' but at the moment my images dont have a 'title'.

anyway to do this?

thanks :)
