Hi,

I have upgraded to 1.4.2 from 1.3.4 successfully. I noticed that the quota I set previously on different groups are default back to 1024KB, and a custom group I created called "Power Users" is gone. Not a problem, I can fix it.

However, one of my users in that missing "Power User" group is also missing under "User Manager". She was not in the "Registered" group. I put her under the "Power User" group only. The user can still been seen at "User galleries", and all her albums are there. I tried to create a user with the same username, and it says the user already exists.

I did the version check and database update already, but "User Manager" does not show that user. What should I do to get it back?

Your help is appreciated!!

try updating your files with a checkout of the cvs (stable branch)

I'm already using 1.4.2 stable. How do I d/l from the cvs ???

Another issue is with the ecard. I have postfix installed on the same physical machine on which coppermine runs. eCards get sent out, but without any content. I've tried several different recipients and got the same blank mail with only FROM and SUBJECT.

I've had the same problem after upgrade - users from non-standard groups were missing. It was due to missing of non-standard groups in database after upgrade, but users had still old user_group ID of groups that was no more in database, so these users were not displayed. My solution was:
- create new non-standard group as you had in 1.3.x
- go to database (phpMyAdmin or other)
- in table cpgxxx_usergroups check ID of just created group
- in table cpgxxx_users find users that are not displayed and change their user_group field to ID of just created group

Or you may just change user_group field for invisible users to ID of Registered group, which should be 2.

it's better to regret something you did that something you didn't do
