Hi,

Just upgraded to 1.4.2 and noticed that finnish.php is not compatible with this new version. It's the same language file that were in 1.3.5. This causes several problems (buttons are not visible etc.).

That's because no one has translated the 1.4 version. We rely on volunteers to translate most of the files as we don't know all of them despite the global nature of the team.

Thanks for that! i just have to wait the new language file.

Joachim Müller

why don't you start translating it instead of waiting for someone else to translate it?

Does this apply to the swedish languagefile as well? I get junkcharacters all over the place.

Do you have any changelog for translations, so it would be only necessary to translate missing parts and not allways all over 2100 lines?

I can do the translation from English to Finnish, if you have any ideas how that could be done by only translating new (missing) parts of the file...

If you have some script for that, it could be handy for all translations.

Joachim Müller

There's a translator guide that comes with the coppermine docs that contains all needed links, including the one to the translation sticky thread: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#translating

It looks like the instructions in that section need to be updated to exclude mention of the utf files. I could remove the text but not sure what to replace it with.
