Having failed at an attempt to make a sucessful bridge http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=26541.0 I'm looking for a temporary alternative at getting this working.

Coppermine was installed into http://album.balandraconexion.com. The system works fine on it's own from that URL, however I can't login to http://www.balandraconexion.com/album .

What do I need to do to change the configuration so this works.

A reminder if you didn't read the linked thread that subdomains are set up on the server by working through a folder.

I'd still like a solution to the original problem, but also to this additional problem.  ;)

I thought I'd try something different to fix the problem, something straightforward....

The forum at http://forum.balandracnexion.com/ can't be moved without a lot of hassle. So, I thought I'd create a folder called "album" inside the forum, so the URL would be http://forum.balandraconexion.com/album, which seemed to work fine for the album installation, and separately for the forum.

However I can't get the bridge to work!

I'm using these settings:

Writing to database: full_forum_url|http://forum.balandraconexion.com
Writing to database: relative_path_to_config_file|../
Writing to database: cookie_prefix|phpbb2mysql

But it won't work. Why not? What am I doing wrong? It's the same domain, just a different folder.

Help, someone, please.  :-\

setting up coppermine in a sub-folder of your bbs is not a bright idea, and there's nothing that will make bridging easier if you do that.

Why not? I'm not an expert, so a few reasons to help me understand this would be appreciated.

So you're saying that by doing this bridging can't be made any easier - Like it's the best solution?

I'm completely confused by your response, obviously I'm interpreting it wrongly because it seems to be a contradiction in itself. There was nothing in your answer to actually assist me in rectifying the problem I have. Is it because I didn't explain the problem I have properly, or you just don't have an answer?
