I try to add a photo to my personal gallery and I can just select the one category and it puts it there and my personal gallery shows nothing.

How come? Thanks!

Quote from: "gaugau"did you read the documentation? Did you search the board?

GauGau

Yes, I did. I see now reason why it should not work. Personal albums are set to YES.

I read the documentation. And, yes, used the search. To try and pin down using the search given the terms used can be very generic would take hours.

hardtraining

forgot this:
QuoteThere is a special category named "User galleries". This category can't be deleted. If a user belongs to a group where "can have a personal gallery" is set to YES, he will have the right to create his own albums and his gallery will be a sub-category of "User galleries".

The administrator can create albums in any category. Regular users can only create albums in "User galleries/Their_username".

Here's what is at the top for links.

Album list :: My gallery :: Admin mode :: Upload picture :: Logout [User]
Last uploads :: Last comments :: Most viewed :: Top rated :: My Favorites :: Search

I checked under album list, my gallery, upload picture. There is no place to create an album I can see.

Also, did a search on:
user gallery create album

Guess what thread comes up first in the list? This one.

So, yes, I did my homework first and would appreciate help.

There's no place for a user to create an album when user galleries is turned on. At least not in my installation that I can find and I have looked and tried to do my homework before asking. :)

Your user needs to log on, then click on 'Admin mode'.

A user gets 3 admin areas, unlike the site admin, who gets 11.  They are shown in this pic, and it is in the 'create/order my albums' that the user creates their albums.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
