Hey,

How come users who are NOT admins can't upload pictures using the windows xp-publish feature???

The error that they get is like this:

Welcome [user]

Sorry but there is no album where you are allowed to upload pictures with this wizard.

www.defencetalk.com/pictures

How can i fix this?

Thanks

does the group associated with your users have "Can have a personal gallery" set to "Yes"?

if a user is not allowed to have a personal gallery and none of your main albums are available to have normal users upload to them, well...yes...that's the problem.

NORMAL users can upload pics just fine when they do it from the website.

hmm, when they upload from the cpg website does it wait for your approval? (not sure this matters, poking in the dark now.)

Well, it asks them to create new album. Does not provide list of albums already there! Then I can't seem to find the album user created and I think user can't find their own album with pics even though they see link on top to edit and modify their albums/categories. This is really confusing.

Thanks

i think they need to put an image in the album before it will show up in the "User galleries" area.

but, a normal user can post into areas that are not part of the "User galleries" from the cpg website, but are not available from xp_publish?  that is odd, would not of expected that behavior.

Yes. Same user can come on the cpg website and upload to any album available out of 140+ yet, he does not see those through xp publish.
