I just upgraded to 1.4.4 and I noticed in my config section I can't select any of my themes that I have installed. Right now I just have blackbirch installed which is fine but something is wrong if I cant change to any other theme.

Heres a screenshot.

did you upgrade your themes as well? Post a link to your page.

scotty588

Sorry about posting it in the wrong section. Heres the link. I replaced the themes folder with the 1.4.4 one but blackbirch is not a standard theme.

What do you mean that you can't select the themes? Is the option not there? Or you select a theme and it doesn't take effect?

scotty588

It shows in the screenshot. When I click the dropdown for the theme listings its all blank. It acts as if no themes are installed at all, but the blackbirch theme is being used.

I was able to switch to classic theme. See if you have the same issue when using it. http://scottyk87.dmservers.com/?theme=classic

What language are you using? I can see that there are outdated language files from older coppermine versions inside your language folder. You (as admin) mustn't use those older languages, coppermine can't be administered using the new language fallback options.

I am using just regular English.

Also Character encoding set is Western iso-8859-1

edit:
I would be happy to let you mess around with it to see if you can get it to work. Just PM me and I'll set you up with the info.

I am using admin.php for the theme selection.

edit: I am going to bed so I will check this in the morning. Thank you.

scotty588

So any idea what this problem is? I would be more than happy to give a admin or dev access to my gallery to see what the problem is. Just PM me. Also if you want to communicate on aim/msn/skype/ventrilo(voice chat server) if its easier I can give you that info also.

Joachim Müller

not sure what could be wrong then. Maybe someone else got an idea?

Check permissions on the themes folder.

scotty588

Wow, it was as simple as that. I changed it to 777 and they show up now. What are the correct permissions for the themes folder? Thank you!

Nibbler

It needs read and execute permissions for whichever user your server uses to run php scripts. It can be as low as 500, depending on server setup.
