I have bridged SMF and Coppermine and it works fine, but I no longer can log out of my forum...and now can not log into my gallery. I don't know what other information to give you but whatever you need to know ask.

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and smf:
I cannot log into coppermine, also in firefox I can not log out of smf but I can intermittently log out in internet explorer

Coppermine install: http://www.metamudcreations.com/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.metamudcreations.com/smf/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.4
Forum version: SMF 1.1 RC2
Test user account: test / tester

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.metamudcreations.com/smf/
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../smf/
Use post-based groups?:  0

I will just have to have all the people remember to clear their cookies to get in. We will see how well that goes over, it doesn't seem to be able to read the "forever" cookies

You need to disable local storage of cookies for that to work.

Joachim Müller

  • temporarily disable bridging in coppermine
  • log in to coppermine once again (using the original coppermine admin account you created when you installed it)
  • changing the cookie name in coppermine's config
  • log in to smf
  • change smf's setup: disable local cookie storage
  • in smf: change smf's cookie name
  • go to coppermine (you should still be logged in as admin)
  • enable bridging again

This will render your site visitor's existing cookies void - they will all have to log in again (using their existing smf usernames and passwords) next time they visit your gallery. Make sure to use valid cookie names: only alphanumeric chars, no special chars, especially no dot!

Thank you that seemed to fix everything.

Thank you again.
