Well the other day I said I had a database error and was told to ask my host well the reset it from me and a new error for my gallery has now popped up and said you guys might be able to help me. So can someone tell me what can be done to fix this.
It's what I get when trying to view my gallery

Notice: Undefined index: debug_mode in /home/buttafly/public_html/gallery/include/functions.inc.php on line 96
Fatal error :
There was an error while processing a database query

Joachim Müller

enable debug mode in coppermine's config to get the actual query that fails and post it here (do not post the debug output, but the error message).

How do I get to that? I would've tried that but when I access the gallery all I get is a white page with the error:
http://www.yearofchasez.net/gallery/

Is there is some admin link I would know of or something of the like?

Joachim Müller

use phpMyAdmin, browse coppermine's config table and set debug_mode to "1"

I'm greatly confused because the only table's I see are:

  cpg_banned
  cpg_ecards
  cpg_exif
  cpg_filetypes
  cpg_temp_data

And no where I see this debug setting.

Joachim Müller

there's no table named cpg_config? Then that's the reason for your issues. Restore it from your backup.

insecure x blue

Wait do I create a new table? When my host did a back up restoral for me this is what they told me they recovered whatever is there. I'm getting so lost on this technical stuff.. sorry.

Joachim Müller

that's not enough. Is your table cpg_pictures missing as well? I get the impression that your webhost only partially restored your database. There's little you can do if you can't restore all missing tables. Creating fresh tables will not be helpful, as they would be empty.

Ok.. I'll go back an contact them to see what the can do thanks. If not it looks like somehow mysteriously I just lost the gallery when I did nothing to it overnight a week ago :\

If you can't get a full recovery, I guess you would need to do a full installation, then import the pictures, albums, categories tables into the new installation. And probably the users/members table. There may be more that needs to be imported to make your gallery the way it was before. To prevent complications, I would suggest installing v 1.3.5, import, make sure that it works, then upgrade to 1.4.5.

insecure x blue

The thing is I don't have any of those tables unfortunately to import. I guess all is lost. :(

Joachim Müller

probably yes. Do as Thu suggested then: do a fresh install (using the most recent stable version, which is currently cpg1.4.5). Then re-add all your pics using batch-add

insecure x blue

That's alright. I'm pissed and annoyed it took me a while for the pics I had and I'll never have time to re-add those and the many thousand more I was currently adding. And this stupid new version of your gallery is ticking me off. Every page I load it keeps "logging me off" and it's driving me nuts. I think I may have to find a new gallery once again :\
