hello!! i'm using CM 1.4.2, there's around 1000 images in the gallery.. but quite a few of the albums have the same pictures twice, and right next to each other.. if i delete one through the admin part of CM, it deletes the image, but the one remaining shows the "red cross" as it now can't load the image!!! does anyone know how to fix this or a script to run, or somewhere i can look/fix this??

here's a little screenshot when i choose to "sort" a particular album so that you can see how ONE filename has two entries!! it's baffled me.. i've tried to search on here but coulnd't find the same problem :(

any help would be much appreciated!!!
thanks in advance :)

i am using the latest version
One of those two statements is wrong, that's why I suggested upgrading ::)

hello, thanks for checking this out, i've just upgraded to 1.4.4 and here's a link to a small album which has got this problem:

http://www.innovation.gb.com/galleries/thumbnails.php?album=70

as you can see there are four images, but should be only two. I hope you can help, and hopefully point me in the right direction :)
thanks again,
kev.
:)

(even if you know of a mysql statement we can run which will remove all duplicate entries in the DB if that's what's happening :))

what happens when you click "delete this file"?

kev@num

if i click delete, it will delete the image (like the large/normal sized version) and it will also remove one of the thumbnails (the one i click) but it will also leave the remaining thumbnail which was also showing the original image, but as the image is deleted, the thumbnail is now one of those Red x's in a box, like one of these:

I'm not sure why this happened, but I suggest re-uploading the "missing" file by FTP to the exact location where the coppermine database entry is pointing to and then using admin tools to re-create the thumbnail and intermediate image.

kev@num

ah wicked, thanks very much for your suggestion, it might take a little while though with around 1000 images in different albums, but i guess i can give it a go!
do you think there might be some sort of statement i can run in mysql which would delete all duplicates maybe? even if you don't know what it is, but think it might be possible?

thanks again :)

I have the same problem with the duplicate images, so did what you was said above, I uploaded the images again in ftp, then went on to the admin tools and did the update thumbnails and resized images for that folder, but when I clicked 'submit' it took me on to the /util.php page which was blank, and these new thumbs_ and normal_ images aren't in the albums folder in ftp.
