Hi All,

Everytime I tried to upload to Coppermine it always give me "0 uploads were successful.". There is no error messages. I also didn't have any error messages during the install. Can anyone help? I'm a newbie in Coppermine and don't really know a lot of PHP.

Have you gone through the sticky thread on this board?  (Troubleshooting the Upload Process)

Normally you shouldn't post debug info until you are requested to do so because it clutters the discussion and usually is not useful until a certain point is reached in a discussion.  In this case, I notice that "file uploads" under "Server restrictions" is set to "Off".  I may be mistaken but I believe this means your PHP settings don't allow file uploads right now.

And normally you should post a link as well.

Check the PHP setting and go through the sticky, then report back (even if you solve it so we can mark this thread appropriately).

Hi Paver,

Thanks for your help. Yes I had a look on the phpinfo.php and it says that file_uploads is Off for both Local Value and Master Value. Is there a way to change this?

On another note, I tried the batch upload and it also doesn't work and not only that I didn't get the thumbnail when I browse the directory through Coppermine. I had made sure that all my directories as specified in the installation guide have 777 mode.

Thanks

Paver

If file_uploads is Off in your PHP settings, Coppermine will not be able to receive any files no matter how hard you try.   ;)

Here are some useful links:

Had a quick look on the php manual. Does anyone know how to override the global PHP settings set by my webhost to allow file upload? Or there's no chance for me to get it to work?

Paver

You should first ask your webhost if they would change this for your account.  Some webhosts might turn it off by default but enable it for those who request it.

vhadiant

Alright problem solved. Asked my webhost about this problem and they pointed out that I can override the php setting by creating my own php.ini on my cgi-bin directory.

After setting the file_uploads to true, add the max processing time and increase the memory it finally works. Thanks Paver for your patience.

Paver

You're welcome.  Thu already marked the thread "solved" so we're all set to live our lives to the fullest.
