No its NOT ok. cpg144 has some serious security flaws.

You should upgrade to cpg148. There isn't any difference as far as features are concerned. If you have issues with cpg148 then open a topic on respective board

The Category in the CPG148 ,if repair "User gallerie" to "Members".
In index.php don'n display the "Members".

As suggested, there's no difference in this aspect between cpg1.4.4 and cpg1.4.8.
The "user galleries" is just another category name that can be changed using Coppermine's category manager panel.
This is a language issue though, I don't understand what you're asking. Please use more words to describe your issue. Posting a link to your page and a screenshot might be helpful as well to understand what your actual question is.

I think you are trying to have user gallery on your frontpage
if this is your issue, then you should create at least one user album:
- create a user (not admin)
- log in with that user and create album
- send some pics
