Hi, I'm one big newbie.
I've read a lot of the document from coppermine, but it doesn't really tell me how I can open the theme.php and template.html to edit it. Is there a specific program i need to install to open and rewrite the script? thanks!

All Coppermine script files are plain text. You can open them with any text editor, for example notepad on windows.

While true that notepad works, IMHO...if you are going to be working with code you will probably be much better off in the long run using an editor like Crimson Editor or something comparable. There are a lot of them for free.
Reading directions will cause less pounding of the head against the monitor. Where's the fun in that?

Of course, notepad is just a suggestion for 'newbie' users since it is already available to them.

Good point. I only mentioned this as it has resolved some support issues in the past. I guess the carpenter in me shows every now when it comes to having tools for the job. If I could find one with a laser, coffee maker, and 220 volt power requirement, I would be in heaven.  ;D
