I tried to follow what it said from the documentation to set my private password for a private album.
however, when I test it in other user mode, I can't see that album, so where do I put in the password in order to view the password protected album.

thanks

Don't test how things look for regular users by switching to user mode. Instead: use a regular (non-admin) test user account. It's expected behaviour that password-protected albums don't show if you have set "Show private album Icon to unlogged user" to "no", so either set it to "yes" or tell your users about the password-protected album's URL by displaying a link to it or sending an email that contains the URL.

I am having trouble with this. I have set an album to the "Show private album Icon to unlogged user" to yes but when I am not logged in it does not show any albums. It says there is an album, but you can't get to it. And when sending a postcard clicking the "see more images" leads to a "nothing to display". What am I doing wrong? thanks

Nickelas,

I think that I had a similar problem to this, and the solution was that I had 'personal gallery' set to 'no' in the groups settings.

Try this:
In config - logged on as admin, set 'albums can be private' = yes
In groups - check that one level of user has 'personal gallery' set to 'yes' (i.e. just set admin to yes' for personal galleries if you don't want other users to have personal galleries)
Go to 'properties' of your album from the 'home' page and check you have a password set

- should work.
