CPG is new to me and it seems great.
Bravo to the developer(s)!

I already RTFM of course, but something id eluding me.

I want to set up my gallery with global categories (Street Photography, Nature, Digital Manip etc), and I want to have galleries (albums?) for each of my users.

I want each user to be able to mark their photo as one of the "global" categories.

I hope I was able to explain myself.

How is this configuration can be done?

Am I completely off, and there is another loginc for this comfiguration/logic?

TIA!

Set an album keyword on the 'global' album eg. 'nature'. Then instruct your users to assign the same keyword to the pictures they would like to appear in that album. They will then appear both in the user's gallery and in the main album.

Hi Nibbler, and thanks for your prompt reply!

I notices the (new) category option in CPG 1.4, but since I'm a real noobe here, perhaps I didn't get it:

If I want BOTH user galleries (a gallery per each photographer), and I want also the "cross-search" capabilities (i.e.  - show me all "Street Photography" photos) - what's the best configuration for the CPG?

Should I open gallery for each user, under User galleries?
And them, it's up to each photographer good will and discipline (and memory: they should remmember the categories list and how they should be writen "Stree Photography", "Street", "Photographing in the Street" etc)?

Can you please describe the steps I dsohould do to creat this setup?
(I'm sorry, I guess that's simple to you, but I just ran into CPG yesterday...)

Thanks!

Plus - the word "Street" could apear in the user's keywords (or description) in a totally different cotext (i.e. "I walked in the STREET while I was thinking of the concept of this studio photograph")...
