When I try uploading the schema.sql file to my webhost (4000webs), it says the file has a bad extension. Everything else uploads smoothly, and the sql and php settings are on in my control panel. any suggestions on how to get the schema.sql file to get uploaded?

Ask your webhost why they consider the file to be bad/dangerous. Maybe your copy is corrupt, try downloading a fresh copy from another mirror.
