hello i am just starting to play with Coppermine Gallery and i am considering it for a new site i am making however i have noticed when i uploaded a particular .gif image it changed the image and made all the animation in it be outlined with white obviously destroying the view of the image.

here is a screen shot of the issue:

you should notice though that when clicking on the image for the full image in it's pwn window the problem is no longer visible only while it is in the gallery is it visible.

Currently there is no way to resize animated GIF images and retain the animation (in GD or ImageMagick).  If Coppermine resizes an animated GIF, the image software (GD or ImageMagick) grabs the first frame only.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

thank you for the speedy response this is my first venture into software like this so i am assuming it would be the same for any kind of gallery where the image gets manipulated server side.

you guys have done a wonderful thing here with this software and i apreciate all the hours you guys must have spent here only to give it away for free.
