User pics deleted suddenly!

Today I noticed that all the content inside the userpics folder got deleted! I haven't touched that folder for months, so I have no idea how this might have happened.

A link to your coppermine-driven gallery would be a start, as we're not mind-readers and therefor can't just guess what went wrong.

Not sure if they are actually not there. When going to one (picked it randomly), I should get a 404 error, but instead I just get a blank screen. Imo there's something fishy with your permissions or your server setup. I suggest asking your webhost for support.

The file I tested is http://www.theothersize.com/galeria/albums/userpics/10002/a_main_pic.jpg which should be embedded into http://www.theothersize.com/galeria/displayimage.php?pos=-5508

Actually, I've browsed the userpics folder with my FTP client and the pics and folders are not there anymore (except for one, created by an user yesterday night).

The FTP client is bound to permissions as well. As I suggested, ask your webhost for support. If they can't help you, restore your backup. If you don't have one, then those pics are lost.
You really should upgrade as well...

I have asked my webhost to change the permissions of the folder to 777, but the pics there are still not visible.
