My gallery is at: www.scarlett-photos.com (latest version of Coppermine w/ modpack by Stramm)

I constantly receive comments saying that the full sized image does not pop up when clicked on it - though it works just fine for me on both Firefox and IE.

I once asked a user for further details and she said:

I'm having a little trouble with your photo gallery. Everytime I click on a picture link to make it bigger it doesn't work. My java is working and I even reinstalled it to see if it would help, but it didn't. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm using Mozilla 1.5.08, but I've tried it on IE (I'm not sure which version) and it didn't work there either.

Does anyone know what could be wrong there?

First off, you should upgrade your gallery.

You have a couple of additional scripts added to your template.  Could be interfering (although the popups work for me as well).  You just need to remove them one by one to troubleshoot.

Other than that, could be client side settings - not much you can do about that.

I upgraded both the gallery and the modpack.

What do you mean with the additional scripts? Like the Google ad?

Yes, you have 2 scripts that deal with window.open (JS) and this "may" be interfering with certain user configurations. This is the only thing that I noticed right away.

In my experience, the ones that [complain] about not being able to fully navigate at a site usually have misconfigurations that they're not even aware of or extremely high security settings (possible).

Your site works fine !

Tell the users who complain to check their pop-up blocker (might be the one built into the browser or one that comes as third-party app). It does what it is suppossed to do: when set up extremely paranoid, no pop-up will display at all. As Coppermine uses a pop-up to display the full-sized image, the pop-up won't work on boxes that keep all pop-ups from appearing. Tell the users as well that there's a difference between "Java" and "JavaScript". You can't install JavaScript on your box, as it comes with the browser, so the user probably tried uninstalling and re-installing Java, which is not related at all to Coppermine's ability to display pop-ups. The user who complained appears to be a very newbish person.
