cant find admin page

i have a new web client that has coppermine insalled on her site.  She wants me to make changes but i can't even get in to the admin page.  Coppermine is installed to the gallery dir and i have gone to gallery/admin.php but i get a message
"Critical error
You don't have permission to access this page. "

i know what the uname and pword should be but that doen't help if i can't even get to the page that i need to input them into. My clients isn't comp lit and has no idea about how her site works and the old webmaster is unavailable.
Any one have and helpful ideas.
I do have FTP access.

Log in to coppermine with the admin account that you have before going to the admin-only pages. Use the login link on the coppermine-menu to go to the login page. For details, read the documentation that comes with coppermine. If this doesn't help, post a link to the coppermine gallery you're having troubles with.

that's the problem
i cant find the coppermine-menu
there is no link in the control panel for the host
and i can't find the interface on any of the pages that are in the coppermine(gallery) dir on the site

in the documentation step one is to log in
i need step zero (where do you log in (url) )

The page you refer to doesn't display the "Powered by Coppermine"-tag. A clear license breach. You won't get support unless you restore it. Ask the person who removed it if you need help.
