Hello everyone,

I know that this problem has been encountered by many from the search function, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Here's the error message people get (regardless what group they are in) when they try to upload an image:

0 uploads were successful.

Error Report
The following uploads encountered errors:
File Uploads:
File Name/URL: example.jpg
Error Message: Impossible to move.

I have checked the permission settings of the album folder and its subfolders. They were originally 755, so I changed them to 777 to see if anyone would be able to upload. Again, that didn't work. I also checked the group permissions and file quota, and they seem to be fine. I have bridged the gallery with my phpBB forum, so the memberlists are shared. I haven't been playing around with the gallery settings for a very long time, and it wasn't until one of my moderators who reported the error message to me that I found out.

Thanks ;)

Done ;) I searched for the error message but didn't get anything but threads about this "XP publish" thing... whatever it is.

Done what? Are you trying to say that you have done exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs?
Re-trying to http upload using the access data you posted above, this is the error message I got:
QuoteCritical error
Failed to create directory albums/userpics/10600 !

File: /home2/hcpar/public_html/photos/db_input.php - Line: 318
This means that you haven't set permissions on the albums folder and everything within it as suggested in the permission sections of the docs. Re-apply permissions now.

HCP

I just checked the CHMOD settings once more and make the album folder and its subfolders all to 777. I have read the permissions section of the manual.

Joachim Müller

Don't just check, but apply permissions. If 777 doesn't work for you, try 755.

HCP

Okay, I should have said "checked and applied" in my last post. 777 didn't work, then I just tried 755, and that failed too.

Solved by doing what? For the benefit of others with similar issues it would be helpfull if you posted what you actually did to solve your issues. This is the whole purpose of a support board.
