After uploading a photograph and attempting to use Edit/Rotate, the following is displayed:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 14016 bytes) in /home/lyman/public_html/foreverjoanne/include/imageObjectGD.class.php on line 71

Is anyone aware of why this is happening?

Thanks!!

Lyman

I see I cannot edit my Post. "Edit and Rotate" should read "Crop And Rotate".

Thanks.

Not related to install - moving thread accordingly.

Basically, the same limitations that apply to uploading apply to cropp/rotate as well, so you're running into a server-sided limitation. Review the sticky thread: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of X bytes exhausted

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your reply to my recent Post re the Memory Error on uploading high resolution images. Many thanks!  :)

Also, though I am logged in I do not see where I can reply with the above thanks. Are your replies Read Only?

Best,

No, my replies are not read-only. You can reply by clicking on the "reply" button at the bottom of the thread. You have to make sure that you are logged in to do so, as only logged-in users can post. I tested this (using a non-admin test user account), it works fine. Should work for you as well.
Marking thread as "solved".
