I know.  You have answered this question too many times.  Unfortunatly it is not intuitive in my opinion.  I allowed guests to have personal galleries and I still get the same thing.  I've seen your posts to many others -- I understand your frustration but you have to understand ours.  Doesn't make sense.  It should be so easy to allow anonymous users to upload an image.  That is wll we want.  Just doesn't make sense.  It should be completely effortless and yet many of us struggle with this.   Something needs to be changed.  Frustration

You can give any group the right to upload. But, considering the title of your post, did you also set the album(s) option that they can be uploaded to ? If you make a new album for guests to upload to you also have to set the album properties so that the upload option is active.

I believe I did that also but when reviewing the documentation on this action it says :

"Note that only visitors who are members of a group for which the setting "Can upload pictures" is set to YES. Members not in the permitted group will not be able to upload files into such an album. Non-registered users are members of the "Anonymous" group.

The same rules as above apply for "Visitors can post comments" and "Visitors can rate files".

So how do I allow the anonymous group to upload files?  These are visitors who are non-members.  Thanks for your reply...

If you want to give non-registered visitors upload rights then go to the group control panel and set that right for the guests group.
