I am using  WowBB 1.65 and I LOVE Coppermine. Is there a way to bridge the two together so my visitors only have to log in once using the same user ID and pw?

I am pretty new to this. I looked all over this support group and didn't have much luck.

Thanks in advance!!!

Nibbler

anyone willing or able to do this??
i know there is a demand for this
shame it hasnt yet been done

Nibbler

It's proprietary software, so a bridge file is only likely to come from within the WowBB community.

cheers, thats what i would have thought
but wowbb keep sending me here
i will keep trying them, thanks

We didn't say that the creators of WowBB will come up with a bridge. They don't have to (in legal terms), nor does the Coppermine team have to come up with bridge files. That's why Nibbler suggested that the WowBB community (the users of that app) might come up with a bridge. We (the coppermine dev team) will definitely not come up with such a bridge file. If there is someone on the WowBB community who is willing and capable to come up with a bridge file, then fine. You're welcome to post it here then. But if nobody is willing to create that particular bridge file, you're stuck.
You have to understand that there are thousands of apps available that could potentially be bridged with coppermine (in fact any web-driven app that has some sort of user management). However, there's no guarantee that someone actually will come up with a bridge for a particular third-party-application.
There's no point in discussing this further: if you need the bridge for WowBB, you have three options:
* you code it
* you hire someone to code it for you
* you find someone who is willing to code this for you for free

None of those three options is related to the coppermine dev team, nor is this a matter of support. Coming up with a custom bridge definitely is beyond of what you can expect from regular support.

Marking thread as "closed".
