Sorting thumbnails by directory

Is there any possibility that I can sort thumbnails by directory IE I have Album with pictures of mountains and I wanna sort thumbnails to show thumbnails from new directory  in order from oldest to newest...

I was on same mountain 16.09. and 08.10. this year and now I can't sort images I would like whitout changing their name and so.

Note: each user (including the admin) can use the sorting controls on the album's thumbnails display page to manually override the sorting option that was specified in coppermine's config and the "Sort my pictures" option; this final method of changing the sort order is stored locally in a cookie of the client and reverts to the config settings when this cookie is discarded.

Is this what you mean ? You can use that to sort the pictures on date taken etc..

I know that everyone can change sorting of pictures by title, date, file name and position. But that's not what I mean since I know that I wanna ask is there change to make different sorting of thumbnails then this 4 and that sorting need to be like this: Album, newest directory from where pictures are upload into album and then standard "picture taken". Like this I have:
dir1/picture 1
dir1/picture 2
dir1/picture 3
dir2/picture 1
dir2/picture 2
dir2/picture 3

And I wana have them sort by newest directory and then oldest file in that directory (since begining of trip is oldest file)
dir2/picture1
dir2/picture2
dir2/picture3
dir1/picture 1
dir1/picture 2
dir1/picture 3

By now I fix this by starting to name pictures in album with number from 9999 to 0000 and then I put sort by name, but if it's only way I will do that in future too
