Hello, I have created 2 categories and 2 albums in each catergory, but users cannot upload files, they have to create their own albums in order to do that, so my question is how to make those albums private? here is the link for its helps http://www.myeverynight.com/e107_plugins/coppermine_menu/

Joachim Müller

Album properties -> visitors can upload -> yes.
e107 goes unsupported.

crud

Sorry, I mean how to make those albums not private, but publics, in orders users can upload what they want, wihout to have to create their own albums. sorry

I think you're mixing things up: "private" doesn't equal "personal". As I suggested above: allow your users to upload to public (i.e. admin-created) albums. There is a general toggle on the groups page and an individual per-album toggle on the album properties screen. Review the docs for details.

Then do as I suggested: allow them to upload to public galleries in the first place (groups control panel), then set permissions by album on the album properties screen.

Edit: Sami beast me to it. Posting anyway.

Those options are not on the plugin that I am using, I think is an e107 issue, I cannot see album properties, and for to enable users to upload files, this option is enabled. joachim can I give you the password of my admin in private to see it by your self?

Joachim Müller

I already told you that e107 goes unsupported. If the options we refered to doesn't exist in your coppermine flavor, then you're using an unsupported port. Seek support from whoever you got that port from, not from us. Closing.
