Can anyone help me with coding the "File 1/X" text at the top of the intermediate image page to a dropdown navigation menu please?  Some of my customers have expressed a desire for more/easier navigation once looking at the larger image sizes.  They would really like to be able to jump from one photo to the next with out backing out to the thumbnail page.

Thanks for any help or leads,

Keith

They don't have to go back to the thumbnails page. Make them use the "previous/next" arrows instead. The mod you're requesting doesn't exist afaik.

Sorry, but that's not very feasible for a large album.  Say I have 50 images in a client's album and they really want to look at images 2, 13, 37, 42, and 50.  As it stands, they have to click 9 times to view those 5 images (or 51 using only the arrows).

The next and previous arrows are lacking pretty bad as well.  It's a shame they don't at least "wrap around" from the first to the last image and vise versa.  That would at least help out if they want to just see images 1 and 50.

Then what's wrong with the filmstrip? It let's you make bigger jumps.

So you expect site visitors to look at the thumbnail page and memorize there that they want to see the pics 2, 13, 37, 42, and 50? Come one, how userfriendly is that?

As I said above: what you're up to is doable, bit hasn't been done before. If you need it, code it (or hire someone to code it for you). It's definitely beyond the scope of free support. Of course everybody is welcome to prove me wrong and code that for PerformanceImagery...

There is nothing wrong with the film strip other then I personally don't like it on my layout (I like a very clean and simple look).  The request to jump from image to image actually came from people I had test out my site.  They already are remembering which images they want to see and jump around to.  I also don't expect them to do any thing, I'm just trying to give them more options to do what they want to do... which is user friendly.

I'm not a coder, but I might just have to find someone to work with on this mod as I think it would benefit many people.  After all, that kind of a navigation is standard in quite a few other gallery software packages.

Thank you for your help.
