Is there a way to upload photos but have the original photo not get compressed and keep its original state? I would like to use coppermine to not only display photos, but to also backup my photos on the server. However, the backup will not work very well for me if my photos are altered (compressed) as they are no longer in their original format. I searched for this in the forums but was unable to find a topic relating to this. If anyone has an answer, please advise, thank you in advance.

Since I cannot edit my post, I would like to add the following:
  Using Jupload (latest ver)
  Coppermine v 1.4.16

php is set to alow 20mb uploads and 16mb of RAM, so no issues there, thanks.

We have no idea about JUpload - it only gets supported on the corresponding mod thread, as it's not part of coppermine's core. The only thing I can tell you: if you use the upload methods provided by the coppermine core components, you need to set "Auto resize images that are larger than max width or height" to "No" in Coppermine's config to preserve your originals. This will result in the original pic not being altered in any way. I simpy can't tell you if this is the case for JUpload as well. Ask your question on the JUpload thread. Marking this thread as "solved".
