hello forum!

first of all, i have to say, that im pretty new to coppermine and im still in the process of learning how this little app works ;)
so far, i already changed the appearance of the gallery a bit that it fits to my needs. but now, i want to add a 'tree view' to my gallery. like this:

- album 1
   - category 1
      - subcategory 1
      - subcategory 2
   - category 2
      - subcategory 1
      - subcategory 2
- album 2
  - category 1
  - ...

this list should appear on ALL pages, even on the index page. the best thing would be to remove the link "Albumlist" in the menu (wich is on the left side on my gallery) and put there the 'tree view' section.

i've already searched in the forum for getting some help and i've found a thread that seems exactly what i need:

http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=15214.0

but: it seems that this hack works only with version 1.3.x, but unfortunately im using verion 1.4.4. so i dont really know, how i should add thise hack to my version.

so, it would be very cool if anyone could help me how i can solve this problem ;)
actually, i dont know how i can echo/print out anything on the left (in the submenu). i dont need the whole code with javascript in it, just a way to start is all that i need :)

thx,
chino

** edit **

i just tried to put the breadcrumb in the navigation on the left. even that wont work. :(

so ANY help is really appreciated.

I'm working on a plugin to do this. I'll post here again when I've completed it.

(Sorry to resurrect such an old thread.)
