Unable to upload to gallery

Hi guys

I have tried searching the forum for members having a similar problem and found 1 or 2 things to try but still i'm having no luck.

My problem is that I have bridged the gallery to phpbb3 and all is working fine, everyone is logging in, however we are unable to upload files. I have created an album that anyone should be able to upload a picture to but when we do I get the following message "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files", I have checked in the "Groups" tab and everyone is set to be able to upload to a public gallery including guests and I have turned off allowing personal galleries as I don't require this option.

I did read in another thread to enable uploads in the config menu however I cannot find anything in the config area to change.

Any help would be greatfully received.

Although it is probably something as mentioned in the second link it might not be. Doing as suggested in the first link will allow supporters to help.

I have looked through the docs to try and solve my problem before coming on this forum, but had no luck.

I have created an album in admin mode and can upload using admin mode, however when I switch to user mode I still cannot upload, I've looked in Album properties and I do not seem to be able to control who the album can be viewed by.

I can also upload files if i allow guests to.

If you do as suggested above on the first link we will be able to help.

Your problem suggests that you have not created an album that users can uplod to.

The 'user mode' toggle is not intended to test what users can do. For that you should create an actual test user account.

From that section:

When you are in user mode you are still logged in as an admin user, but the admin controls (the admin menu bar etc.) are hidden from the screen to give you a basic preview of what the page would look like for "regular users". However (as you still are logged in as admin), certain permissions and options in user mode will still look the same as if you were in admin mode; you can not use "User Mode" to see what a non-admin user is actually allowed to see. To see what a casual visitor can see and do on your site, simply log out. To see what a registered user can see and do on your site, create a test user account (non-admin) and log in with this particular user (when doing this it is recommended that you use two different browsers, NOT two instances of the same browswer, to view your site so you can stay logged in as admin on one and view what regular users see while making changes in admin mode.
