Ok I have searched the forums and I can't find the answer. I enabled de-bug mode and I got this clearer message:

"The file 'albums/userpics/10001/Image6~1.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.

I have read the '4.11.4 Upload troubleshooting' and the '4.11.5 Asking for support on upload issues'

I have set up a test account because honestly I have really tried, I have searched and I know you must have answered this one thousand time but I just can't find the answer please please help.

The test logins are:

login: test
password: test

Thank you so much. I am sorry to be a pain.

Sophie - suggest you read very carefully the first sentence of 4.11.5

I actually have done that..... But don't worry anyway :) I never wanted to frustrate anyone.

It worked earlier, but Sophie had granted admin privileges to the test account. I was trying to warn her of the dangers!

^ Thanks for trying to warm me :) I am a bit slow on the update on those things :P

Thanks anyway but I have now fixed it :)

The whole upload issue? If yes, please post what you did for the benefit of others. Additionally, this will enable us to tag this thread as "solved".

Of course, sorry I have been busy.

I went to: Config -> Files and Thumbnails settings -> Max width or height of an intermediate picture/video **  (had been set to 1 so I set it to 6000)

Hope this helps other people in the future!

Joachim Müller

Thanks for returning and sharing your resolution. However, setting the max size to 6000 is not a bright idea - only allow resolutions that make sense. The max usually is the number of pixels current displays can handle, which should be around 1200 pixels width. Yeah, I know that there are people who have higher resolutions, but they're a small minority. Your web pages should work for average surfers. Nobody owns a display with a width of 6000 pixels, so that's just not a bright setting in the first place.
