I have been extremely impressed with Coppermine and the way it worked seamlessly with phpBB2.  :)

- The current Coppermine RV - 1.4.18 - downloads with a bridging wizard for phpBB2
- The current phpBB RV download is phpBB3

I don't know my ass from my elbow with code - I am not a software engineer, I"m just a simple end user. After having spent five precious hours following Joachim's requests to read through pages and pages of locked threads about developmental stuff, I was still getting NO clear answer on a bridging wizard for phpBB3.

  1. Can the bridging wizard be used for phpBB3 without tweaks/patches or whatever to the code?
  2. If not, are we to assume that Coppermine developers are not intending to release a phpBB2 wizard for 1.4.18?
  3. If not, will there be one in Coppermine 1.5.x ?

Just THREE simple YES/NO answers would suffice. Many thanks in  advance.  :-*

Typo in the above - should of course read phpBB3.

Sorry.

1. No.
2. Bridge files are normally created by people who actually use the bridged software, not the dev team.
3. Will be if someone contributes and supports one.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

My heartfelt thanks Phill. I guess I should have been looking in the phpBB forums all along.
It's not a wizard, I"ll have to get someone to do the installation for me, but it will do the trick, and I will be able to tell others about it.

Chris.
