Gallery Page Blank

I recently got a message from a friend who tried to access one of my coppermine galleries and found it down... When I finally looked into it, I found that I get absolutely nothing when I call the gallery up-- a blank page. The error in my browser says "internal server error," but that's all I've got.

I really haven't updated my galleries in a year or so, and I figured perhaps I should update the galleries to the current coppermine version (1.4.18). But when I tried to run the install.php, I get another blank page.

I also tried to start a new gallery from scratch to see if something else was corrupt, but alas, blank pages all around.

Apache 2.2.8 (unix)
PHP 4.4.8
MySQL 5.0.45
(web host is Bluehost)

I have 2 coppermine galleries: linked under "ultimate" (http://www.massiveimageworks.com/ultimate) and "stockpile" (http://www.massiveimageworks.com/stockpile)

You've got a whole load of files missing. Follow the update instructions in the manual.
