Hi,

I've modified my galleries so that they are only visible to users within a specific group. But when I login as a user of that group, I CAN'T see the galleries. Instead I see one thumbnail, no text, and when I click on that thumbnail, it says that the gallery doesn't exist.

Anyone an idea what causes this behaviour ??

cheers,

As you can see, the upper two galleries are 'messed up'. no text, and when you click on it, it says that the galleries don't exist

I read the link, but the albums are NOT empty. They appear empty when I change the property "album can be viewed by" from 'public' to 'specific group'. Then, neither as admin, nor as user from 'specific group', the albums are available. When I change the property back from 'specific group' to 'public', everything appears back, including title, text an pictures in the gallery. I even tried uploading pictures in the albums that appear empty, but it doesn't help.

Try changing 'show private icon to unlogged user' to YES, in config.

What version are you using?
Is user andy_k a member of any other group, and which one is his default group?
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Casper, changing the 'show private icon to unlogged user' to YES did the job. Superb!

To answer your other questions: andy_k is member of the specific group. And now that I think of it, it is also member of the 'guest' group. So I will remove him from that group.

But thanks again !!

OK,
that is a known visibility bug, which has a fix posted somewhere, and is fixed in version 1.3, due out as a stable release soon.  Multiple group membership and album visibility work without the need for the icon to be shown.
